"Black Swan" movie posters

I'm not sure who the designer is behind these awesome pieces, but I quite like Empire's description of them:
A rather special and gorgeous treat for you today: four pieces of limited edition Black Swan international teaser artwork for you to feast your eyes upon. Yes, they're as beautiful as Natalie Portman and as downright sexy as Mila Kunis - while being as strange and disturbing as Vincent Cassel and as original as director Darren Aronofsky. You're welcome, world.

I'm loving the Propaganda feel, even though I'm sure they have nothing to do with the actual plot.

V for Vendetta Propaganda post cards

I felt it was significant to post this. I just saw it pop up on Ffffound. But also, I just watched the movie for the first time in 6 months yesterday. AND I was thinking about how I should talk about this poster campaign on here, because I talked about it briefly on my movie blog over a year ago. Also I own the little pack of post cards. So, the stars were aligned on this one.

Anyway, I love these posters. I own a large sized version of the lower right one. I think the propaganda style is totally cool and very well done. I love that there are 4 different styles (but all propaganda themed, that's the key). I love the movie and the posters are amazing. Awesome job.

Poster of the Day

One of my very favorite things in the design world is Propaganda, more specifically of the Soviet type. Propaganda usually has a lot of negative connotations, but as art it's beautiful. This poster is by SEB LESTER. It's awesome. I need to have it.

Keep Calm and Carry On

I recently bought this poster (at an extremely reasonable price) from barterbooks.co.uk, and it's now hanging pretty in my kitchen. There are plenty of places to get them, though (but they're all expensive). The difference is you can get them in different colors. I hope one day to be able to get a blue one and prop it up on a mantle or something.. Anyway, this poster is beautiful, and it's historical, too. Read the history of it HERE.
