Earth Science Postage Series

n 1973 Canada Post celebrated the meeting of the main organizations concerned with the exploration of the earth (The International Geological Congress, the International Geographical Congress, the Congress of the International Society of Photogrammetry, and the International Conference of the International Cartographic Association). This cool modern postage series marks this incredible event and represents the various disciplines in a graphic and descriptive manner that would make Edward Tufte proud.

Gorgeous Wedding Invites

What happens when an art director gets married. Our very own Mike Mates got hitched in the woodland splendor of the Pacific Northwest and this invitation system complimented our couple's offbeat style with full wedding-day guidebook, map and scout badges.

I can guarantee when it comes time for me to design my own wedding invitations, I'll panic. Too much pressure to make something perfect, and creative, and awesome.

Olly Moss spotted in "Totally Lost"

I was watching Totally Lost (it's excellent), and noticed a poster from IBWL favorite Olly Moss. I was extremely impressed to see him represented in the offices at Entertainment Weekly. That's a feather in your cap, no question.
The Original:

"Agora"

The trailer for this bored me stiff, but I was so captivated by this title card at the end. Since I have no idea what the plot of the film is, I don't know if this is appropriate... But it's fricken beautiful and totally epic.. And now I've been looking at NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day all day.

Space is so beautiful and fascinating.

Need to Want Less

Saw this popping up around FFFFound, which eventually brought me to the flickr page. There are tons of these things! Some profound, some just silly.

I agree with Nubby Twiglet, these logos from the 60s an 70s are totally swoon-worthy.
