"The King's Speech" posters

I like the first one best, and I wouldn't even have featured the second one had it not referenced my favorite poster. Quite good (plus I'm a sucker for anything involving a crown).

"Black Swan" movie posters

I'm not sure who the designer is behind these awesome pieces, but I quite like Empire's description of them:
A rather special and gorgeous treat for you today: four pieces of limited edition Black Swan international teaser artwork for you to feast your eyes upon. Yes, they're as beautiful as Natalie Portman and as downright sexy as Mila Kunis - while being as strange and disturbing as Vincent Cassel and as original as director Darren Aronofsky. You're welcome, world.

I'm loving the Propaganda feel, even though I'm sure they have nothing to do with the actual plot.

"True Grit" movie poster

I like the western style [I actually made something simliar a couple years ago. It's nice to see mine isn't necessarily worse than this one above (though the background texture could use work)]. I also like the bullet wound. Movie posters should be more bold like this. It's eye-catching and interesting. Reminds me somehow of working at a movie theater and seeing all the new posters come in and choosing which ones to put up. Memories.

Kellerhouse Inc.

Kellerhouse Inc is behind recent movie posters such as I'm Still Here and The Social Network. They've done a ton of work one would definitely recognize. I love the theme with the type on top of the simple image of the face (see also the special edition DVD packaging for The Man Who Fell To Earth. They're very simple, striking designs. And really memorable. Take a look through their work, it's well worth it.

"Agora"

The trailer for this bored me stiff, but I was so captivated by this title card at the end. Since I have no idea what the plot of the film is, I don't know if this is appropriate... But it's fricken beautiful and totally epic.. And now I've been looking at NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day all day.

Space is so beautiful and fascinating.

I'm Not There Movie Poster

I liked the ORIGINAL POSTERS, but this is 1000 times more awesome!

V for Vendetta Propaganda post cards

I felt it was significant to post this. I just saw it pop up on Ffffound. But also, I just watched the movie for the first time in 6 months yesterday. AND I was thinking about how I should talk about this poster campaign on here, because I talked about it briefly on my movie blog over a year ago. Also I own the little pack of post cards. So, the stars were aligned on this one.

Anyway, I love these posters. I own a large sized version of the lower right one. I think the propaganda style is totally cool and very well done. I love that there are 4 different styles (but all propaganda themed, that's the key). I love the movie and the posters are amazing. Awesome job.

Amazing "Shining" poster

This poster by Tom Whalen is great for a movie that everyone knows and (presumably) loves. It doesn't feature an obvious photo of Jack Nicholson, but it's implied with the ax through the door. Really cool. Not only that, but the great little details at the bottom. He's obviously a a pro at the pen tool.

Poster of the Day

A very truly inspired poster for the movie Coraline.
